Florida's Derrick Harvey just declared for the draft. The 6-foot-4, 262-pound Harvey, is a tremendous pass rushing threat that played extremely well in the Capital One Bowl. He had eight tackles, three for a loss and two sacks. Harvey had a standout sophomore campaign, where he finished second in the SEC in sacks with 11. He started off slow this year, but really heated up as the season progressed. He finished the season with 49 tackles, 17 for a loss and 8.5 sacks. Harvey doesn't defend the run very well, but he's a true pass rusher that as a chance to be among the elite at the next level. With his announcement today, Harvey is a lock to be a first round selection, and will be picked anywhere from No. 13 - 22 next April. Photo: Mark J. Terrill/AP |
